Makaraka school in Gisborne has just been to Whangara their yearly leadership camp. the Year 5 and 6.we walk up together to cooks cove we went through a mighty big forest. You could here the cicadas and the lovely birds the cicada were loud and the birds singed.
We drove slowly down i the minny vans with our teachers up rto cooks cove.as soon we arrived then we talk about where we were going to walk to first we looked at the map then where were of we were walking through the trees.We finally got to a amazing view we all had rest but some of us all ready left the view was amazing.
We finally went into a big dark green forest on there we counted about 200 steps some of them were steep so we had to be careful.through the forest we could here the birds singing there songs and the cicada
As we walk down the hill we finally reach the bottom of the hill we went down to the hole in the wall.As we went by step by step went into the hole in the wall me Rose Bella and Kate walked into the hole in the wall. I was like wow because when you look up it was amazing . There were so much sticks you could see the nice calm water breaking then the teachers said that we had to go so we went through the forest and as soon everyone reached the bottom everyone was excited so we drove to Anaura bay in our minny vans very slow because there were heaps of so me and my friends had to wait road works.
All of my friends had so much fun at Cooks Cove I was so excited when had finished everyone was exhausted at the end of my friends were excited at the start but exhausted at the end.
