This is my math grid for term 4  and i am trying to get 100 each day and try to bet my time ao that i can get better.

Bruce potter

On Friday this man called Bruce potter, he came to he had made a weird doodle and it was so cool when he went we got to make our own doddle and this is my we got to mix different animals of different things and my wier thing was mix with all different thing like a snowman, elephant, gorilla, person, lion, Santa hat when I had finished I started to do a new one.  I named it is called Donald duck

Birds

On the 7/9/2019 my mum was making sounds and all of the birds had come out and was flying everywhere and I recorded it and I did it in slow motion. when they flew down back to the trees my mum made a noise and it sounded like swoosh. All of the black spots are the birds. when I was recording i put it in slow-motion.

KI-O Rahi

Through ut in the weeks on Friday, we have been learning KI-O Rahi and we played on the field and we had names for our team and one team was called taniwha and there was another team called Kioma.while is was playing we were playing with year fours. when I was playing I was a defence with isabella-rose when I was doing that I was trying to stop the ball from hitting the containers then we had to swap.

Whale rider slides

Our class is still reading the whale rider and we have to do these slides  but I have not done one of my slides.
When we are finshed we are going to see the movie and i am so exited.

Swimming in hasting

Finally, we hop out of the car we were in hasting for a swimming competition when we got there it was a relay and I was in it and it was a freestyle relay and we came first and then it was the 200 meter IM a 20 IM is when you do 2 laps of butterfly then 2 laps of backstroke then breaststroke and last is freestyle and I was against a 22-year-old man he was an Olympic swimming it was a tuff swim.

Most Mondays we do a math grid and my aim is to try to get 100 out of 100 each day in  6 minutes but I try to get less than 6 minutes. my highest is 5.35 100 out of 100

we were learning about this brooch that was a beck the beck is a huia. we did this play and it was Hilda birthday and so his husband George got him a brooch and they went walking in the bush with there friends William and Marry and then they heard this noise bang bang and it was a hunter the hunter was killing a huia.

We did this work because our class tawiritematea went to the musem and we were talking about navagation because thats how captan cook cameto newzealand by useing the stars the wing the moon we were leaning about our star signs my star sign is an AriseI like this art because we got to paint with blending colours and we got to do it freedom

I am still wondering how did he use the stars to get to place to place

We did this because we have read this story about painted hoe and tawhirimatea  went to a museum  and we were talking about  navigation because captain cook use the stars and the sun to know where he was going.

We haved read this story about hoe waka and did you know that when the moair came to turanga-nui-a-kiwa that there were only about 20 hoe paddle had stay alive.

Finally we had got of the bus as me and my friend stepped of the bus we saw this amazing creatchen when I was looking it this grey car was coming down and it was Peter he was the one that show us around.we were talking about a special bird called a oi's as well we were making a hurt but there were some rules the first rule was that no predators cold come in the nest so it does not eat the oi's second rule was that we had to fit our group in and my group was Max G and Kate we had keep on trying because it keeping coming down and as soon we had to let go and it was standing.I was so excited because there was a challenge  to do the challenge was you had to put a blindfold on  and you had to have a buddy to tell you what derrichin we had to go under a como net then you go around these sticks then pick up the crab or kina in the net and give it to the ext to pears in your group and they had to do the sack same course but backwards.It was so much fun I want to go there again.

on the  05/03/2019 we had to make a slide of our odjet or a animal and we had to find or buddy that had a simarla card and my partner was Isla and so we had to make a slideshow to share to the class and this is our slide show.

Mindfulness

At school we have a great mindfulness teacher and what we do with her we make some art we do tummy breathing and we also do breathing in four and puse and then we breath out eight.

Eeling Dissection

 The year 5,6 went to whanagara and we courts some eels so we could dissection them at  school.

First we unslimed the eel with some newsprint and some paper towels. We hanged up the eel on a strong brunch as soon as we unslime the eel we walk inside to put the eel on the tray.

Our group started to dissect the  we got the to chop the head of and the tail. We started to cut the stomach open when cut the stomach open we cut the guts and put them on a tray.

INTRO

My class at makaraka school in Gisborne we were exploring through a sheep heart and we did a dissection because we are going to dissection an eel.

Part 1

We got given some sheep hearts to dissection we had to put an aprons gloves and some glasses when we dissect the sheep heart.

Part 2

When put on our gear we got a tray yo disetp the sheep heart there were lots of holes.

Part 3

When we looked in the sheep heart we saw heaps of muscle and most of it was was fat .

Conclusion

I had so much fun when but we had to be careful with the knife my group was really excited the sheep heart was yuck.

The Cooks Cove walk

Makaraka school in Gisborne has just been to Whangara their yearly leadership camp. the Year 5 and 6.we walk up together to cooks cove we went through a mighty big forest. You could here the cicadas and the lovely birds the cicada were loud and the birds singed.

We drove slowly down i the minny vans with our teachers up rto cooks cove.as soon we arrived then we talk about where we were going to walk to first we looked at the map then where were of we were walking through the trees.We finally got to a amazing view we all had rest but some of us all ready left the view was amazing.

We finally went into a big dark green forest on there we counted about 200 steps some of them were steep so we had to be careful.through the forest we could here the birds singing there songs and the cicada

As we walk down the hill we finally reach the bottom of the hill we went down to the hole in the wall.As we went by step by step went into the hole in the wall me Rose Bella and Kate walked into the hole in the wall. I was like wow because when you look up it was amazing . There were so much sticks you could see the nice calm water breaking then the teachers said that we had to go so we went through the forest and as soon everyone reached the bottom everyone was excited so we drove to Anaura bay in our minny vans very slow because there were heaps of so me and my friends had to wait road works.

All of my friends had  so much fun at Cooks Cove I was so excited  when had finished everyone was exhausted at the end of my friends were excited at the start but exhausted at the end.

Reading about Hinaki

I read a story about hinaki.  A boy went eeling with his family.  The story shows us how to make hinaki.

Next Wednesday we are going to Whangara for a camp and we 

are going eeling so we made hinaki.

At school we have been making these posters to put up on the wall for our writing.

holidays 2019

In the holidays we went up to our beach house at loisels because my sister had her birthday up there.
All of our cousin were there. me and my mum we went up next to the rocks pools we went fishing we caught two crayfish one codefish and a snapper.while we were walking back we saw two stingrays because these people caught some kina and fish and crayfish they were eating them.Suddenly a fish came so we put out the line but the stingray started coming towards the fishing line so we wined the line in and walked back to the beach house.
